Elementary Program
In the early grades, students focus on developing their social awareness, communication skills, and Catholic identity. First graders enhance their citizenship skills by collaborating on classroom challenges and learning to compose sentences. They engage with the teachings of Jesus, the Mass, and the importance of social justice. Second graders continue this spiritual journey as they prepare for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion, deepening their understanding of prayer and forgiveness while also honing their technological skills.
By third grade, students build upon these foundations, becoming more independent and organized learners, transitioning from "learning to read" to "reading to learn," and deepening their understanding of the four pillars of the Catholic Church. In fourth and fifth grades, students further their academic growth and social skills through exploration and inquiry-based learning. They develop a caring attitude towards their peers and community, cultivating a safe environment where they can ask questions and express their thoughts. This period emphasizes independence and cooperative learning, allowing students to excel academically while nurturing their emotional and social development.
As students progress into junior high, they face new challenges that require greater responsibility and critical thinking. The skills and values they have developed throughout their early education will serve as a solid foundation as they navigate this transitional phase, preparing them for the complexities of higher education and personal growth.
